Subject: [TenTec] GFCI problem when running high power
Is it possible (or even desirable) to install one or more bypass capacitors
inside the breaker panel, and immediately adjacent to, the ground-fault
circuit interrupter? If so, what type of capacitor is recommended?

-----Things to consider if you are going to use caps. First make sure the
caps are UL rated for line voltage duty - VERY IMPORTANT! Second, depending
on how you install the capacitors they may increase the sensitivity of the
GFI by the small current that will flow though the caps at 60 Hz (careful
calculation of cap value). Third, it might be a good idea while you are in
the box to install a surge suppressor (use short leads) if you do not have
one.
BE VERY CAREFUL!!!
