[TenTec] 960/961/962 power supply output connectors

I have not modified my Omni VI+ or Jupiter YET, but the Molex type
plugs and sockets are not too great IMHO.  I have used Cinch-Jones
connectors since 1970's and they are still going strong.   My project

this winter is to fix my gear with the C-J connectors and not have to
worry about the poor connections with the stock units.  The thought
of 20 amps thru the stock connectors just does not work for me.

*I have never done that but, can't see any problems with doing the mod. It
could decrease the resale value by not being original. Just remember the
Ten Tec Protection Circuit. As you probably already know, any attempt to
draw over 20 Amps should cause this fine power supply to shut down. My
friend Bill, has Anderson Power Poles mounted in the back of his 962 PSU.
Maybe I am too Old School but, just can't see what is so Magical about
Anderson Power Poles. The only thing that I can figure is that EmComm is
using them as a standard of some sort. My only suggestion would be to keep
the original Integrated Cable and just add your binding posts. This lets
you keep the PSU ... Ten Tec ready... This is the route that my friend Bill
took. *
