Topband: AMECO PT-2 PRE-AMP & Rx Pre-amp installation question

Hi,

I found into an state sale an AMECO PT-2 pre-amp in excellent shape.

I would like to know if there is a big difference with the PT-3.

Between my shack & Rx antenna there are 150 feet of RG-8, I am wondering if my Rx performance could be improved if the Pre-Amp is installed at the Rx antenna base.
