Topband: Beverage with coaxial cable

I have to rebuilt completly my two wires reversible beverages for 80 and 160m, they are at least 15 years old , I am considering different options.
How about a beverage made with a small coaxial cable instead of balanced ladder line , price difference is not that big, for example a la ON4UN page 7-21 fig 7-22B Book 3rd edition?
What  are the main electrical difference ? are they working the same way ?
I am not talking about feeding the beverage  but the beverage itself.
Need some advise please
