Topband: Thunderstorm

Seems like I read an article ... QST maybe?... that thunderstorms 
have a high amount of electromagnetic radiation around 300kHz. Am 
I correct? If so an antique arc-5 could be handy as a detector. I'll try 
that, then brew a converter for 160 to match to my 6L6 transmitter. 

That could be some summer fun when the band is quiet ... or rather 
too noisy.
