You need to get a copy of ON4UN"s "Low Band DXing" book.  Receive ants - Bevs, BOG"s, Loops etc are all explained in it.  If your going to do the "low band thing" this book is a MUST.
   A 300 ft BOG will work - you will probably need a preamp.  Each BOG (or BEV) should have a SEPARATE ground rod on each end - dont use one ground rod for multiple bevs/bogs.
