Yo,
        Rejecting operating split while contesting may remove 1 tool 
which may be a legal, effective  way to increase a score.
The ability to effectively operate split is largely determined by 
installation, location or coronation. If a contestant does not
have one or more of the attributes above then the split attempt will 
fail and simplex will reign. 
    The band  (marketplace) will decide at the time, as any good contest 
will determine.
