There wasn't much on 80 and 160 last night.  I worked some JAs on 80M in 
the All Asia contest, and they were a lot weaker than usual. I'm in CA, 
near SF, and I needed my 500 ft Beverage to hear them. This is very much 
out of season for 160M, so it's not surprising that you didn't hear 
anything.

My Beverages work well up to at least 20M.
