Hazer use

When using a Hazer does it matter the Hazer is not "connected" 
electrically to the rest of the tower? I was going to mount a few 1/4 
wave slopers on one (in addition to the beam) and am concerned the 
performance will be downgraded...Is there a way to connect the Hazer to
