I would suggest changing the phase shift capacitor in the control
box before climbing the tower. You can get one at your local electric
motor shop for about $4. Mine is labeled 124 - 149 microfarads at
125 volts A.C. It's a lot bigger, so you'll have to kluge it in.
When these capacitors start to fail, it shows up as low torque in
the motor. This may or may not be your problem, but for four bucks,
what the hey!
