Hi Darrel,
  Is not the ZL Special in the league you describe? The claim nowadays
for it is 3 dbd.
I'm not attacking the Raibeam, only suggesting that its claim to fame,
"Supergain" is not a patented process to Raibeam, but instead, is a
"subtractive" process in the operation of most amateur beams. The ad
suggests that Raibeam has the inside track on Supergain. I hardly call
1-1 1/2 dbd, if indeed that claim can stand the light of day, a
remarkable difference.
