Tnx guys. I will remember the "never saddle a dead horse". The reason I
am not using guy grips is that I am installing a chain hook on the end
of the lift cable for my crank up tower. I have ,for 15 years been using
my tractor and a floor block pulley to extend the tower. I then put a
piece of 3 inch channel iron thru the bottom section at the level of
section 2's bottom. I then let off on the lift cable and the tower stays
extended. Of course, the channel iron is not in the center of the cross
section but at one edge so two of the vertical pipes rest on it.
I just replaced the cables on the tower and need the hook to attach to
my tractor front attach point.
