The TEK screws do not penetrate the aluminum oxide at the thin ring of RF 
conduction at the joint diameter change. RF travels on the outside of the 
tubing only and a DC connection a short distance away inside from the 
diameter RF jump connection is a very poor connection.  It is a good DC 
connection only but there are no ham bands there.  Heat and pound the joint 
as I just posted.  If it's soldered with flea market aluminum solder you have 
a zero resistance connection all the way around for the like of the antenna.
