My neighbor is one of those mechanical geniuses and knowing
that motivates some inventive thinking to test his creativity!

Given the weakness of the HD-73 brake could not a supplemental
external brake be installed on the mast?  Perhaps something tied to
the brake switch on the HD-73 control box with a small delay?
