I've noticed quite a few messages about rotor control indicator's failing. I
just want to pass along how I overcame such a problem.

I had a Ring Rotor installed on my crank-up tower at the 52' level. Had
nothing but trouble with the control box not showing the correct direction.

I'm in the Burglar Alarm business and decided to install a CCTV camera in a
waterproof inclosure on my roof pointing at the antenna.

The camera (a Sony chip type), enclosure, and a 10" monitor cost less than
$300. It was the best investment I've ever made. These are Black & White. For
another few hundred bucks, you can get a full color setup. I can watch the
tower and Beam from inside the house. If the winds get to bad, I can remotely
lower the tower. The camera will also show the antenna in the darkest night.
The only problem I had was when snow built up on the enclosure glass.. It
took a day or so for it to blow off.

As long as the rotor continues to turn, I'm a happy camper. And it's great to
see what the weather is outside while in my basement.
