    Not if it's the right one.

    Yes, 400# (10% of 4000# ultimate breaking strength). Determined most 
easily with a Loos Guy Wire Tensioner (http://www.championradio.com).

    Maybe. If you're going to have other antennas on the tower (wires, 
shunt-feed, side-mounted, etc.), it won't hurt. If you don't use it, you'll 
always wonder if everything's working as well if you would've used it. For 
the cost, I'd do it; that way you'll never wonder.
