Hi Bob.
I have a 3 vertical phased array here, switchable in 6 directions, and I
love it. It is just like swinging a beam, without the 70+ foot tower,
rotor, big beam, etc. It's made out of aluminum tubing and I probably
have less than $100 invested in the whole thing. I like the idea of
being able to switch directions just by turning a switch at the operating
position. I've never measured the gain, but in ON4UN's book, with the
spacing and delay I use, the gain is supposed to be around 3 dB. It also
has lots of F/B. A short 2 el beam will probably have 4 dB or so, so is
the extra dB (lets not start that thread again:-)) worth all the cost,
hardware and hassle?? 73
