Subject: [TowerTalk] bulb in rotor control?
I have an older CDE rotor, the "HAM III", and the dial light has just gone
out. The bulb type is "s 1820", a bayonet type. None of my catalogs list
this type, although they list others with numbers near that. The voltage at
the socket is about 28 volts, and the only similar bulbs I have found are
for 24 volts. I dont fully trust the 'no-load' reading to be safe.
Query- does anyone know of a direct substitute that is more readily
available? RS maybe? Or- does anyone have a listing of this bulb that shows
its rated voltage?
