Note that being ISO certified only means that processes are set up and
documented to have been followed. It does not define how you do business,
only that you do the same things consistently. One would expect that would
lead to fewer errors...

Subject: [TowerTalk] Customer satisfaction
Reading the info about Amidon. I had good luck and received what I had
requested with no problems mostly about 2 years ago.
However, I do suggest the following:
If you are not satisfied with their service, request a copy of their ISO
registration certificate. After receipt of this certificate, write a letter
to the company describing the problems you are having and copy the Registrar
company who's name appears on the certificate. ( A word of warning, ensure
it is a certified Registrar as many "ISO compliant" certificates do exist).
With the revision from ISO-9001-1994 to ISO-9001-2001 customer satisfaction
is a larger emphasis.
Detailing your problems here on TT may help an individual feel better and
maybe a few folks will think twice about placing an order, but in some ways
Amidon is partially correct. We amateurs with our $150.00 orders are a VERY
small part of their business. It is often best to buy through distribution
systems who do stock products. Often response will be even faster and
better.
Just a bit of brotherly info from a QA Engineer.
