Why LPS makes it. LPS 2 is a silicone lubricant. LPS 3 is a silicone  
corrosion inhibitor.

LPS 1 is kinda volatile. I like LPS 2, or sometimes LPS 3.

LPS is great stuff. The local airplane mechanics in this part of the  
world recommend it. WD-40 does not come anywhere near my airplane.
