[TowerTalk] grounding

On 10/14/05 11:59 pm Tom Rauch tossed the following ingredients into the 
ever-growing pot of cybersoup:

How important is it for that perimeter ground wire to be buried? You 
didn't mention it. And does it matter how far it is from the house?
