Yes, the worst offender I have seen of this is LMR-400UF. Its a nice
coax for running in the shack, but its so hard to hand prepare that I
consider it worthless.  I did the trick where I flowed the solder onto
the center conductor, but I ended up buying a dremel to still reshape
things. And the dielectric is on so tight that trying to get it off
(by twisting or cutting) will deform the center conductor enough it
won't slide into the center pin of a PL-259 anymore. -Scott, WU2X
