Simple unshielded twisted pair is an excellent solution for signalling
circuits because it inherently rejects RFI and noise. One twisted pair should
be used for each signaling circuit. Relatively small conductors can be used
for pairs that don't carry much current. Ordinary unshielded CAT5 has
EXCELLENT RF rejection. Just make sure that cable construction (jacket) is
appropriate for the install conditions.
