[TowerTalk] how much mast out of the top?

I can send pics if you would like of a 
Tristao 354 that had a 20' mast that was overloaded....
the top 4 ft. of the tower now has a severe "twist" to it...
So bad that the top section of tower mind as well be discarded 
and the tower turned into a 40'....
