An engineer at Mackie told me about a time when they couldn't buy OEM 
parts for their own mixers because Behringer had bought them up to build 
their unlicensed copy of the same product. He said they even copied the 
mistakes on the PC boards. Benhringer was well known (and disliked) in 
the pro audio world for doing stuff like that, was convicted in a German 
court in one case and settled several others.
