[TowerTalk] Prosistel rotor connectors source in USA

We just wired up a Prosistel PST71D Pro model with 300' of cable using Cat 7 cable. Two extra wires doubled up are still less than the size the manual suggests, so I asked Prosistel and they said it would work. The Pro model uses a hall effect sensor instead of a pot for heading indication and needs 6 conductors.
When we tested it worked just fine. Not installed on the tower yet.

I think Prosistel recommends shielded Cat7 because they use an encoder for
position tracking; the controller could be susceptible to RFI on those
conductors, thus the requirement for shielding and twist?  As far as power
requirements, I don't know, but if you can get away with it, I'd use
something like Essex BBDG6A which is also 23 gauge, is flooded (icky-pic),
has a copper armor shield that you can put ground kits on, and has a very
tough jacket.  We use it all the time on towers for Ethernet to microwave
radios.  It's good stuff, and not all that expensive in full-reel
quantities.

For Yaesu we use TC-ER tray cable.  Wire And Cable Your Way has good
selection and will cut to any length.  For quick and dirty temporary use,
sprinkler wire...
