Yes, thanks John. That would explain it.
Why am I not surprised.
I know from my experiences.
I was told from the RSGB after they helped with my case I was allowed to
keep a callsign, then left 9 months to use it only to find they had it
wrong. I'm still waiting now 5 weeks later and have still yet to receive any
correspondence from the RSGB/RA on the matter. I chased it up for the first
3 weeks and the last I heard the RSGB were still waiting for a return of
call from the RA. When I spoke to the RA they didn't even have the M5ACC
licence on record ...
The general manager of the RSGB calls the RA twice and it takes longer than
3 weeks to even get a return of call ?! It's nice to know they take him
seriously.
As it happened during this time I had received red letters for the M0
licence and by now had run out, I had to send a pre-dated cheque and say
that it got lost in the post, else I wouldn't of had a licence at all ! I
didn't want to sit around waiting for the cockup to sorted licence-less.
So, as it turns out my CQWW result is technically not valid and I'm working
through a backlog of M5ACC qsl's, I have not even started the few thousand
MQ5ACC qsl's yet.
It's real inspiring labelling these things knowing they are not for your
present callsign.
I've changed most things back over now, email, sub-manager envelopes, qrz
info, registered software, ordered new M0 cards etc.
If these people can't even sort 1 licence out what chance have they got
sorting 12 stations out with the same call.
Tim-M0BEW.
