[UK-CONTEST] FT-1000MP - T/R timings

The FT-1000MP menu settings I've adjusted recently (I fitted a
vacuum relay to the output c/o of my 20m amp., which had been so
slow to change from TX to RX that you had to guess the first letter
of the other station's callsign, hi) are :-

7.4 = time (in ms) RF  is delayed after key is pressed = 10 ms
7.5 = time (in s) TX 'hangs' after key is released = 0.3 s

These settings work for what I would call semi break-in i.e. using
the 1000MP 'VOX'  button to control the T/R sequence.  You can
reduce menu 7.5 to about 0.24s, but the amp. relays then chatter if you
have to send anything below about 26 wpm.

Sorry I can't help with QSK settings - I've never understood why any 
contest station would ever want to use QSK !
