Hullo UK Contesters,
I had a dabble in the TBDC Stew Perry Contest from
home (=high noise + poor antenna) and made 82Q's.
This contest is gaining in popularity. The format is nice
too, with a simple exchange of Grid Square (and no RST,
although many didn't seem to realise that no RST is
required). The scoring is based on distance, but there's
no need to worry about working out the score as the
organisers will do that for you. As I have a 28.5MHz
Low Pass Filter implanted in my head, Grid Squares
have never meant much to me, but after a few hours
in the TBDC, I was beginning to get a feel for what was
where in terms of Grid Squares.
