Good fun and almost made my personal targets of 2,000 QSOs and 3m points.
Indeed, everything went pretty much to the strategy I had worked out with
one notable exception - I had expected Don G3BJ (G5W) to be hosting a
multi-op, but instead he went and did a fb single-op effort, leaving me in
his wake! Focused on the LF bands (double points) so took my 12 hours of
break in the middle of the day (5 hours Saturday, 7 hours Sunday).
Disappointed Saturday at lack of 10m propagation, so it was nice to wake up
Sunday afternoon, come back to the radio, and find 10m full of signals (even
if most of them were only one-pointers). Biggest challenge during the night
hours was working out when to work LF, and when to work the US on 20m, which
seemed to be open 24 hours (huge W7, VK, ZL signals at 0300 and
thereabouts). Tim's (M0BEW/M4K) single-band 20m effort was awesome - it will
be interesting to see what the other 20m single-banders achieved.
