Hi Gang
Didn't spend much time on during the contest ..and when I did I was almost exclusively S+P. I had telnet connected and as a result I witnessed at first hand the horrendous packet pile-ups. There was some truly dreadful operating ... Now, I know that everyone, from time to time, gets their timing wrong in a pile up and it is a "contest" and one has to be pro-active. ...But many really loud EU stns simply called repeatedly no matter who was in QSO. In fact a large proportion of the time they were transmitting at the same time as the DX station. It would be churlish to name names, but lets just say that national stereotypes
were well supported.
I agree with Don XTT about conditions in the last hour being the best ..I also agree that most of Europe (including me!)was distracted by a very loud YA8G on 1810.5. I thought conditions otherwise were average.
Anyway 120 QSOs ..58 Counties and 19 States/Provinces
