Maplin 8-pin offset socket is FJ93B - 29p incl. VAT - "due in 14 days" (from
their website)

Maplin 8-pin offset plug  is FG40T - 99p incl. VAT - in stock

| Remember there are two different patterns of 8-pin DIN plug - using the
| wrong one can break the socket (it happened to my old TS-830).

| CPC and Farnell sell several different ranges of DIN connectors, but
| only one pattern of  8-pin plug in each range. All the 8-pin plugs I've
| bought from them have been the 'circular' or '270deg' layout, which is
| right for ICOM rigs - but the Yaesu band data connector needs the other
| 'horseshoe layout' type.

| Maplin is the only UK catalogue I know of that lists both patterns and
| specifically identifies them as different.
