Newbury and District Amateur Radio Club/G5XV/P

Restricted section, 220ft doublet with open wire feeder to H/B Balanced Line
ATU. Rig FT1000MK5 Field and Club Generator.
Old Club PC (75MHZ Pentium) running G4FON contest logger.

Operators G0ORH, G3ZGC, G3WYW, G3RVM, G3NVO and G4DBL.

Started on 10m and had a good rate to start with, but once dusk started
moved to lower bands for higher QSO rates. 160M disappointing as noise
levels were quite high. Rate dropped a bit when the Thames Valley Police
Helicopter buzzed the site at 0300z. 15M was very poor, with the bulk of
QSOs on 20, 40 and 80M. 20 was our best band with some good DX QSO's.

Some fun with viewing the PC screen in sunlight. Strange cardboard
contraption grew up alongside the front of the monitor to keep the sunlight
out and see where the mouse pointer was.

Thanks to Bernie M3BJM for keeping the coffee flowing through my night shift
and of course all the members who turned up to help set up and take down
afterwards.

QSO totals are as follows: Pts not yet available.

B: 160 80 40 20 15 10
Q: 98 125 295 341 54 35 = 948 including a couple of dupes.
