Hi Chris,
I've never heard it put like that...SCAD and S+CAD!...but I dare say it
is pretty much true and comments otherwise are perhaps 'the Emperors new
clothes'...we can all see it we just choose not to point it out (the
power that is not the...oh never mind)...if as you say there are lots of
people using SCAD and S+CAD (you might think that, I couldn't possibly
comment) then does this not make it even more iniquitous to not have
separate power sections within AFS?...I have yet to hear a convincing
argument for there not to be!...
It appears to me somewhat unfair to be placed in the same section
whether you are running 5w, 100w or 400w...however requiring everyone to
be placed in the same section when some are running 2500w seems
indefensible...
Some may be 'competitive' with other stations running similar S+CAD (and
good luck to them!) why though should stations running 100w be
classified along with them...they are not really in the same competition
but in one with other like minded S+CAD competitors.
I don't care whether you run 2w, 25w, 250w or 2500w...I'd just prefer
there to be separate power classes with AFS (and others) in addition to
an overall competition....this wouldn't detract from the event, just add
to it..s'obvious!
Here rests the case for the prosecution...your witness M'Lud
