[UK-CONTEST] Base Insulator for 80m Vertical

Thanks for all the swift replies. I have just found this on the Farnell site
(Tnx Fred G4BWP) which I think will do perfectly. It is about £20 for a 1
metre length and so will make 4 or 5 insulators. In which case I may have
some to spare if anyone wants any. My intention is to cut a length about
20cm long and get one end turned down to 43mm so that it slides into a
scaffold pole. The other end will sit in a Barenco swivel base which is
already in the ground at the far end of my plot supporting a 4m length of
steel scaffold. I use this to tie off one end of the 160m dipole. The actual
wire end is about 10m from the pole so coupling shouldn't be a great
problem.
