Chris may well be right, and he has been saying this for at least 2
or 3 years.  It's worth reviewing all the posts on this topic in the
uk-contest archives at  http://dayton.akorn.net/pipermail/uk-contest/
 - see the months of September and October in each year.

In February 2003 there was some discussion on uk-contest about possible
alternatives.
