[UK-CONTEST] GB5HQ 10m CW

One thought while it's fresh in my mind for next year:

Given that solar activity is going to be lower next year (we lucked out this
time - flux was up to 130 or so at times yesterday);
Given we want GB5HQ to catch up with the massive number of DL stations
worked by DA0HQ.
Given that amateurs tend to be concentrated where everyone else is
concentrated;
Given that the biggest concentrations of people and amateurs in the UK are
in rough order:
1. The Home Counties (by a country mile)
2. The Liverpool/Manchester/Leeds corridoor
3. The West Midlands
4. The M8 corridoor
5. Tyneside/Teeside
6. The Bristol/Cardiff/Valleys area

Does it not make sense to think of locating stations where they can maximise
UK contacts; which means where they can maximise the number of contacts in
the Home Counties?

Next year that means 10 and probably 15m stations should be somewhere in the
South East (although a station somewhere like the Staffordshire Moorlands or
the Peak District could also be good), and 40 and probably 80 as far North
as possible, given likely conditions in July 2006.

Just a thought. Made 5 or 6 bandslots (can't remember), only one missed
that I could hear was 20m CW.
