Hi, I whole heartily agree with Phil and Berni regarding rtty messages. I am
a fairly newcomer to the mode and I feel sure I too had some long winded
macros in the beginning. I learnt all about rtty from Don's AA5AU site. This
guy has won all there is to be won on rtty, and his site is second to none.
His tutorial on Writelog explains the ideal macro messages, ok the control
codes maybe different to the program some are using but the basics are
there. He explains the need for carriage return and line feed at the start
of some messages.
I really like this mode it makes a pleasant change from yelling into a mike
or decoding cw with my ageing old grey cells. All I have to do is relax in
the chair and click the mouse.
