I think a big part of any perceived problem is that in general Brits like to 
be long winded, The idea of just sending or saying 59001 is just too 
clinical.
     You only have to work on 40m SSB to be inundated with the likes of 
"thanks very much your 59001 59001 in Brighton good luck in the contest" 
etc.
     As has been said the CC contests should be used as a training ground 
but the unfortunate part is that even with 10 or 20 years under there belts 
the Brits will still be over flouring the exchange.  73 Clive GM3POI
