Hi All
Many thanks for your constructive advice.
The noise disappeared about 3pm this afternoon. The source is NOT located in
my house, as I switched ALL the power to the house off, and monitored on a
Battery Receiver. The Noise is NOT pulsed, but white noise, about 5/9
between 3.2 and 5.8 MHz. At its peak (3.5 its 5/9 +20). I do have a very
faint mains hum, but I know this is coming from my one of my monitors, and
isn't usually switched on (Server monitor).
So the noise is from 6:30 am until about 3pm. (Guessing 6:30 as thats when I
first went in the shack this morning). I think it could be Central heating,
or similar (I'll see if it re-appears this evening), although I know the
near neighbours have storage heaters.
I'll do a walk test tomorrow morning, as suggested.
Any other ideas ?
Thanks again.
Adrian Rees (M1LCR)
