I would tend to agree Graham, when the local ARS was in danger of folding I
volunteered my shack and for the last 2 years this has been the club QTH. In
that time hardly any interest was shown in operating the station even less
in contesting. I found this strange as this is probably the best station
around here and if I had a modest setup I would give my right arm to operate
a decent station. I tried to whip up some interest but you could just see
their eyes glazing over. Comments like it,s all too complicated and 5nn
that's all you say etc etc.????
The average op just is'nt interested!
New premises have now been found in a social club, at least there's a bar
there!!
