UK activity levels in Beru are very high,and for another statistic, 
check out K3LR's breakdown of the number of stations from different 
countries worked during the ARRL phone contest. Very nearly as many Gs 
as DLs, and if you add GM GW GI etc. then they actually worked more UK 
stations than Germans! Quite an impressive statistic - which we'd love 
to see mirrored during the IARU contest.

The comparison isn't nearly so favourable in the ARRL CW contest. So 
it's up to those of us who love CW to persuade our fellow club members 
of the value of CW. The 80m CC contests can be helpful in this respect, 
as a gentler introduction to CW contesting.
