Clive - The first weekend of April was the SPDX event - not a global
major but usually well supported ... this year it was thinner because
it clashed with Easter weekend and the Poles are still very much a
catholic easter celebrating bunch.

Dave - thanks for posting the mail explaining the problem with the
other contests ... it was my first ever attempt at a sprint and the
EU ones in particular. Now I have a new QTH suitable for some HF/LF
antennas it seemed a good time to get my feet wet although I was soon
cursing never again when I kept coming up against the Russians and
the WSEM & DIG stuff all over the place. But I guess I will have
another go - it was fun and apologies to those I worked early on ...
it takes a few QSOs to get used to the different dynamics of it.
Disappointing numbers for my first attempt but like others at least I
worked some Japanese stations in their contest today :) Also had to
break off for domestic reasons 45 mins from the end but I don't think
I missed much !

Well done for trying to drum up more support anyway.
