Hi Giles

We've never met but nevertheless please accept my congratulations on your
new appointment. In my opinion, after going through a wobbly patch, RADCOM
is now going from strength to strength and is a good read. I'm sure this can
be attributed in good part to your excellent work a technical editor.

In any club or society, members like to get recognition. One of the ways
this can happen is to see their achievements, however modest, in print.
To my mind it would be a retrograde step if a decision were made not to
publish the full results of RSGB organized contests in RADCOM. Now by
"full" I don't necessarily mean a detailed write up. I mean simply a
results list including all those members who took the time to compete and
send in an entry.

It's the newer members who are likely to be lower down the list and it would
be a shame if their further participation in the increasingly popular RSGB
contests was to be compromised.
