Chris, I set up the G6PZ messages to send "ENN" and to use "VTT" instead
of "4TT". I worked out we would save 22.38523 minutes during the contest
duration by doing so. 

Just kidding. 

Anyway, yeah, I heard HG6N with no note at all whilst tuning up 80m
trying to find a freq on Sat night. Told them so, they went QRT, I took
the frequency. Maybe I should use that trick more often. 

I heard OM7M/OM8A using "ENN" too with relatively lame rate; I don't
really understand the point in using it unless you really do have a
constant rate and it really does save time. 

That's it now Chris, no turning back. In 3-5 years, everyone will be
using "ENN". Contest organisers will finally remove the RST from the
exchange. Then we'll end up with just serial number / power / zone etc,
and then the craze will be using Extreme Cut Numbers (tm).
