That was for 12 hours... but not the best possible 12.

Having clocked up 8 reasonably good hours on Saturday, it wasn't a bad 
decision to get up at 0400 to look for Saturday-evening VEs on 40/80m. 
The bad decision was to stay on the air when there weren't enough of 
them - so when 15m opened again towards the end of the contest, I had 
already timed myself out. Oh well, lesson learned.

A big vote of thanks to Gerry for the inspirational article. It 
definitely inspired me to *work* the contest for the first time ever, 
rather than just browsing it for DX.
