Your right there Clive, I always find on both CW and SSB it's the E or the
dit on the end that gets lost!  I wonder if there ever was a GM3ZB (G3ZB?),
never thought of that?

OK here's my short straw!


Whilst respecting and understanding those who don't want to lose their 
existing identity, I feel differently, if only because of the nightmare 
of my issued callsign in contests, which is perennially copied bass 
ackwards viz GW3NWJ. Those CW ops with an E or a K as the last letter 
will also empathise!

Clearly I could never have GW3NJ unless reissue of SK calls is allowed ( 
although I suspect Gx3NJ was in fact never issued?), but equally clearly 
Gx0xx, Gx1xx,Gx7xx, Gx9xx and their M and 2 equivalents are available.
