I read the original post and found nothing offensive in it. Of course, the
nuances of the written word can sometimes be misinterpreted, but I detected
no "apparent amusement" in the description of the device. It sounds very
much a method of last resort in an attempt to train a difficult dog.
Unpleasant as the shock may be, it must be better to learn from a few of
these, than to be shot for livestock-worrying.
In any case, the description of the system and its potential impact on
amateur radio were undoubtedly useful to some country dwellers, so it was
entirely appropriate to air it on this forum.
If your "outrage" as indicated in your final paragraph is indeed genuine,
you must lead a very lonely life, constantly avoiding people you perceive to
have offended your sensibilities. No doubt I am now added to the "no
contact" list!!
