SOAPBOX: Where was everybody? very few EU on, but propagation was there 
as I worked
SOAPBOX: LY,YL and 9A very early on.  Only 2 DL's in the log! Band 
sounded very quiet
SOAPBOX: with weak stations easily copied most of the time. No flying 
start with
SOAPBOX: only 44 QSO's in first 30mins. Total of 26 QSO's S&P on sub VFO
SOAPBOX: Used Win-test instead of TR-Log for first time in this event 
which took a bit of getting
SOAPBOX: used to. For some reason you have to press the space bar to 
move between
SOAPBOX: callsign and serial fields, and the enter key does not send CQ 
on a blank entry.
SOAPBOX: Try not to take these events too seriously as not really got 
much hope of winning
SOAPBOX: from this QTH.  Thanks to Nigel G0VDZ for use of his garden and 
shed again.
SOAPBOX: Did the whole contest in wellies!  the garden being waterlogged 
as usual at this
SOAPBOX: time of year.  Had to strip down the amp 30 mins before the 
start as
SOAPBOX: antenna change over relay started sticking during tests.  Had some
SOAPBOX: problems with the CW sending getting slurred to begin with, 
traced it to
SOAPBOX: RF getting in along the networking cable to the PC.  Easily 
cured by
SOAPBOX: disconnecting it as networking not needed.
SOAPBOX: Would like to enter the "one hand tied behind back" category as 
pains
SOAPBOX: in left arm, shoulder and neck from a injury sustained meant that I
SOAPBOX: found it most comfortable to stick arm behind back and sit on hand!
SOAPBOX: Rig, FT1kMk5 (modified and de clicked), Drake L7, Inv Vee 
dipole at 45 ft.
SOAPBOX: Winkey ver10 & Win-Test.
