G'day,
One for the experts:
I have two hard drives installed, C: with Win98SE and D: with WinXP. On
start up I have a dual boot option. I guess the boot info is held on C:
I have now replaced/migrated all my apps that were running under Win98 and
would like to remove the drive (C:) which is now about 7 years old and
noisy and revert to a single OS. I don't need it as a back-up drive 'cos
I've
got a huge capacity external unit.
Is there a simple way to do this without having to re-install XP and
consequently the apps on the current XP drive which will become the new C:
Basically can a new boot sector be created on what is currently drive D:
If I have to go down the re-install route I'm not going to bother until I
have to, either a C: crash or I've replaced the PC (c2000 700MHz P3).
Regards,
Mike VP8NO
